The new, next-generation feeding vessel ordered by Nordic Trout was successfully launched at the Port of Uusikaupunki.
Despite the vessel’s substantial size, the complex operation—including the transport from the shipyard to the harbor and the launch itself—was executed flawlessly. This vessel represents a major leap forward in feeding technology, designed to handle demanding offshore conditions with increased efficiency and capacity.
The vessel is currently undergoing final outfitting and systems testing in preparation for its official handover. Procraft Marine and Nordic Trout teams are working closely to ensure everything is ready for active service.
The vessel is scheduled to begin its work assignments before the end of this month. It is equipped with specialized silos for 10 tonnes of fish feed, plus additional deck cargo space. The new vessel will help modernize Nordic Trout’s off-shore feeding operations.
The successful launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for Nordic Trout Oy, the largest rainbow trout producer in the region, as it continues to invest in sustainable and technologically advanced farming solutions.
